No. 8. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Cult classics can’t become cult classics without flopping at the box office, right? That sucks, because Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is easily the funniest movie of 2010 (but Burlesque gets a nomination, Golden Globes???) and one of the more unique movies of the genre. After years of playing Michael Cera, Michael Cera found his calling: playing Michael Cera with super powers.

Good to hear from you! I actually haven’t seen “Get Low” yet – didn’t catch it in theaters and it doesn’t come out on DVD (or at least on Netflix) until 2/22 – but it’s at the top my queue to check out.

Kick-Ass I really enjoyed, but it didn’t quite make the cut. The Book of Eli I thought was OK until it fell apart near the end.
