The Top Ten Movies of 2010

No. 4. The Kids Are All Right

This drama is funny, though for the Golden Globes to nominate it for Best Comedy (it also won) diminishes what the picture really is: one of the best movies of the year. Annette Bening and Julianne Moore, as a normal lesbian couple with teenage kids, are excellent, but it’s Mark Ruffalo who steals the show in this intoxicating character drama.

Good to hear from you! I actually haven’t seen “Get Low” yet – didn’t catch it in theaters and it doesn’t come out on DVD (or at least on Netflix) until 2/22 – but it’s at the top my queue to check out.

Kick-Ass I really enjoyed, but it didn’t quite make the cut. The Book of Eli I thought was OK until it fell apart near the end.
