OK, so it’s not that new in respect to entertainment news. It was released several days ago, but since I have other things on my mind than posting movie trailers, I’m just getting to it now.
The first full-length trailer – and at nearly four minutes, it’s a long one – for the David Fincher version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – is now online. It shows quite a lot of the movie, but is edited in a way that doesn’t entirely ruin the plot for people who haven’t read the books – or who haven’t seen the original movies.
As much as I’m typically against remakes of recently made and highly rated foreign films (the original is only two years old and was released to theaters in the United States just last year), I’m excited to see what David Fincher has done with the story. If the trailer is any indication, he’s got a surefire hit.

On a side note, I just started reading the book for the first time. Perhaps it’s because I already know what will happen, but it’s not as spectacular or as well written as I was expecting.
