The renowned novel Les Miserables
comes to the big screen [again] in grand fashion, helmed by The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper and starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway. The first teaser trailer is now online – watch it here.
Jack plays Jean Valjean, a man who steals bread to feed his sister and spends the ensuing years in prison (or trying to escape it) while also becoming the guardian of a young woman named Cosette (Amanda Seyfried), all against the backdrop of a 19th century French rebellion. Crowe stars as the story’s antagonist, the fanatic police inspector Javert.
