The 9 Best Chris Evans Movies Ever Made

4. Sunshine

Chris Evans stars alongside Cillian Murphy, Michelle Yeoh and Rose Burns in this Danny Boyle sci-fi thriller that, frankly, kicks ass. At least until the movie takes a sharp turn in the final act and goes off the deep end. This is one of those movies few people have seen but absolutely should, if not for Chris Evans then for Mr. Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire).

3. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Chris Evans had a much smaller role in this hilarious, energetic and imaginative action-comedy, so it is almost unfair to rank this movie so high. But this Michael Cera-starring film—directed by Edgar Wright (the upcoming Marvel movie Ant-Man)—is an absolute blast.

2. The Avengers

This tiny film didn’t do much at the box office, but Chris Evans resumes his role as Captain America, also known as the least interesting member of the team. But there’s not much Evans can do about that. Thankfully, the movie itself is a ton of fun… but you already know that.

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Chris Evans leads the way in what could be the best Marvel movie in a decade, and easily the best Marvel sequel since X2. Full of exciting action and featuring a complex and surprisingly epic story, the movie is just fun to watch from beginning to end.

BONUS: Neither Fantastic Four movie made this list, but it should be noted that Chris Evans was, and is, the highlight of those movies.

What about Not Another Teen Movie?

  • Ryan Perez

lol, he’s not really in that many other movies where he plays a significant role, except for Not Another Teen Movie…and the MCU. Also, Cellular and Push were pretty terrible.

    Puncture was excellent.

How is Scott Pilgrim on this list and Puncture isn’t? Scott Pilgrim is fine if you’re a fanboy somewhere, but for people who like movies and acting and… story development it was garbage! Puncture contains actual acting and a plot that doesn’t involve a slacker pedophile.

what about The Iceman?…, awesome movie.

    Have you not seen Snowpiercer???

  • Terry Shannon

Absolutely. Anyone who is a fan of Chris Evans should see Puncture.

Sunshine should at least be number 2. That’s where he, to me, proved that he was more than just a face. Excellent performance in a overall excellent movie.

I think because he was almost unrecognizable. But I agree. Great performance. Great movie.

Snowpiercer is his best work, in my opinion.

Thanks. We missed Puncture – we’ll add it to our Netflix queue.

Snowpiercer hasn’t come to American theaters yet, so no. The first trailer was just released today. Have you?
