First there was Alec Baldwin. Then Harrison Ford. Oh yeah, and Ben Affleck. Now, Chris Pine looks to bring the popular Tom Clancy character into the 21st century with Jack Ryan, an original story that looks at the character’s beginnings as a CIA operative.
Paramount Pictures has released the first two movie images from the upcoming film, which is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2013. The action-thriller also stars Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner and Kenneth Branagh.

Mark Wahlberg is one of the most successful actors in Hollywood today. There’s simply no doubt about it. At only the age of 41, his 20-plus films have amassed a total of $1.75 billion at the box office, which puts him 28th on the list all time. Not bad for a guy who didn’t even make the cut for the 90′s boy band New Kids on the Block.

The late summer doldrums end with a bang as Lawless rolls into theaters, a dramatized true story of moonshining brothers who are pitted against a ruthless police officer. Despite featuring great performances and a violent story, however, Lawless fails to be the sum of its part.

In May, Universal Pictures released a sci-fi action movie with a $260 million budget with the misguided thinking that people wanted to watch a cheesy movie based on a nearly unrelated classic Hasbro game. This said movie, which will remain nameless until the next sentence, earned $300 million worldwide, but after marketing and print costs are taken into account, it can only be described as a massive flop.

Ever since his career-making turn in 1999′s 10 Things I Hate About You, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has proven he has an eye for choosing rewarding, versatile projects (we’ll ignore G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra). Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the most talented actors working today, and while he has yet to earn an Academy Award nomination, it’s only a matter of time.
With The Dark Knight Rises still plugging along and the Gordon-Levitt-starring Premium Rush in theaters this week, now is a perfect time to look at the accomplished actor’s best movies.

Sylvestor Stallone and his crew of over-the-hill action buddies from yesteryear won the box office battle, just like they were expected to. The Expendables 2 earned an estimated $28.75 million, a fair start for a mid-August release. Not for a sequel that features bigger roles for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis.

Oh boy, is Arnold Schwarzenegger back. Not only does he make his post-governator debut in The Expendables 2 this weekend, but, not at all coincidentally, Lionsgate has premiered the first trailer for his 2013 action movie The Last Stand, where Schwarzenegger plays a sheriff who becomes the last roadblock for a pack of violent criminals.
