I wasn’t a huge fan of Titus, but that’s not stop me from getting all excited and stuff for Julie Taymor’s upcoming adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Taymor, known best for her unique and creative visual style, looks like she’s bringing it all with The Tempest, which stars Helen Mirren, Jeremy Irons and Djimon Hounsou, among others. Before the movie arrives in theaters, you can check out a slew of new photos from the movie – now available on FilmJabber.

The Tempest opens December 10, 2010 in Los Angeles and New York.

If you haven’t watched the movie trailer for the upcoming drama-thriller Black Swan, do so now (you can watch the Black Swan movie trailer here). Why? Because it looks absolutely badass. Natalie Portman stars as a ballet dancer who… shall we say… has some self esteem issues. When a new girl arrives (played by Mila Kunis), her life self destructs in horrific ways. The movie is directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler), so it has the potential to be one of the best movies of the year and a potential Oscar contender.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I opens this Friday in theaters everywhere (and we mean everywhere), bringing this generation’s most storied franchise that much closer to its epic climax. Those who can’t wait until Friday to see more of Harry, Ron and Hermione (especially Hermione) should be excited to know that FilmJabber has added 25 awesome new movie images from the movie.

Kristen Stewart stars in the upcoming drama Welcome to the Rileys, about a struggling couple still grappling with the death of their teenage daughter. On a business trip to New Orleans, the former father (James Gandolfini) meets a 17-year-old runaway (Kristen Stewart) and the two bond. In a platonic way, of course. Gandolfini is no longer Tony Soprano and can’t get away with that shit. He brings the girl home and his wife (Melissa Leo) has an affair with her. Or, the unlikely addition to the family helps renew their marriage.

I’m clearly not going to be hired by Samuel Goldwyn Films anytime soon to write synopses for their movies.

Regardless, the studio has released several new edgy photos of Twilight star Kristen Stewart. Sexy or ugly? You tell me.

The summer TV season heats up on Sunday with the season three premiere of True Blood, starring Anna Paquin. The 12-episode season is, according to Wikipedia, based on the third The Southern Vampire Mysteries novel Club Dead, which means nothing to me since I haven’t read any of the books. But the first two seasons were great fun and there’s nothing else on television except for World Cup soccer – so I’m game.

However, they’ve apparently had a few problems with their marketing for this season. I encourage you to watch this heartfelt apology from HBO.

The action-thriller The Losers explodes onto theaters on April 23, and if the movie has one thing going for it, it’s Zoe Saldana. The gorgeous actress, hot off her career-defining 2009 (she steamed up theaters in two of the biggest movies of the year, Star Trek and Avatar), will play a deadly femme fatale/CIA agent who helps the title characters get things done. She may have sex with one or two of them, too, according to the movie trailer.

Touchstone Pictures (Disney) has released new pictures from the upcoming PG-rated drama The Last Song, which stars Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear. While it is a romantic film, no, Greg Kinnear and Miley Cyrus are not a couple – Miley still has to graduate from Disney before making that leap.

In the movie, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel (yes, that dude who saps all life from men by subjecting them to such depressing films as A Walk to Remember and The Notebook), Miley Cyrus plays a teenage girl who reluctantly spends the summer with her estranged father (Greg Kinnear). He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common – music – but she also becomes distracted by a boy.

Is anyone else excited about Robin Hood? The movie is directed by Ridley Scott, who rarely – if ever – does a bad movie. The movie stars Russell Crowe, who, despite his off-screen behavior, is one damn fine actor. The movie also stars no-names like Cate Blanchett, Vanessa Redgrave and William Hurt.

In other words, Robin Hood is going to be awesome, and the first picture made its way online today, reaffirming my belief that this should be one kick-ass film. I do have to admit, though… I was more intrigued when the film was still called Nottingham and Crowe was to play the GOOD Sheriff of Nottingham, who was tasked to take down the evil thief played by Christian Bale. That would have been something.

Yahoo! Movies has posted the first official pictures from Transformers 2, otherwise known as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox as they reprise their role to fight against mean robots. It’s basically a what-if-Wall-E-went-bad scenario. Sony Pictures has released a new, animated movie poster thanks to that fascinating technology called Adobe Flash. It’s a neat concept and worth checking out, but I hope this doesn’t become common place in movie marketing. We already are forced to plow through slow-loading, hard-to-navigation websites, and an animated Flash poster is nothing more than a teaser webpage in the shape of a movie poster.

I just received some new Megan Fox pictures from her upcoming, R-rated movie How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, starring Simon Pegg. When I first saw previews for the movie, I assumed it was going to be a harmless PG-13 comedy, but with an R-rating that includes “graphic nudity,” one has to wonder exactly what’s in store.

The new Megan Fox pictures provided (which I’m sure have already circulated around the Internet a thousand times over by now, considering that I actually have to work for a living and only get to attend to this website at night when I don’t have better things to do like go on dates with beautiful women – doesn’t happen nearly enough – or watch the season premiere of Heroes) feature Megan Fox parading around in a swimming pool, still fully dressed (sorry). But, you know what happens to clothing – especially women’s clothing – when they get wet, right? And cold? Anyway, without further ado, here are some steaming, not-so-naked pictures of Megan Fox:

Have you guys seen the new movie poster for the upcoming Seth Rogen/Elizabeth Banks movie Zack and Miri Make a Porno? Written and directed by Kevin Smith, the comedy has been skirting the MPAA’s limits for quite some time. First the movie was nailed with an NC-17 rating, but who can blame the MPAA? After all, the flick is about two lifelong friends who, to pay off some debts, decide to make a porno together. Since the movie is about sex – well, fake sex – it’s only understandable that it gets pegged with a harsh rating that limits its distribution and box office potential.

Unfortunately, those liberal bastards at the MPAA gave in and changed the rating to R, which means that a whole lot of little kiddies will be subjected to such Kevin Smith filth.

The latest atrocity out of the studio is the new movie poster, which is offensive, vulgar and completely inappropriate for any American to set their eyes upon. Seriously, the studios – and vulgar master Kevin Smith – should censor their material more before subjecting such items to the American public. After all, in the day of the Internet, nothing will stay hidden for long, even if those do-gooders at the MPAA say the poster is inappropriate.

Thank God the MPAA is here to tell us how vulgar this Zack and Miri Make A Porno movie poster is. I mean, look at it. Look at the sexual innuendo! The almost nudity! The passionate looks in their faces! I feel dirty for just posting this poster on my blog.

I finally got around to updating the Hancock image gallery today; I added over 15 new movie pictures for the superhero action movie Hancock, starring Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron. Check out the Hancock movie pictures.

The movie is about a drunk of a man (Will Smith) who just happens to be the only superpowered being on Earth. While he saves people at times, he is pretty careless about his actions, leaving people to become frustrated with the so-called hero. After he really gets himself in trouble, though, his newfound PR agent (Jason Bateman) convinces him to turn his act around and become the person everyone expects him to be. That synopsis is based on what I’ve seen from the previews – I’m not going to go see Hancock until tomorrow unfortunately.

I hate the Saw movies. Despite what some people think, the first one was bad and they just got worse from there. Bad acting and directing gave way to one attempt after the next to shock the audience more and more, while becoming more convoluted and cocky with each outing. The fourth Saw movie was especially bad, the worst of the franchise.

Still, even though the main villain has been dead for over a full movie now, Lionsgate is milking its franchise once again with Saw V. I don’t blame them – audiences continue to swarm to this franchise for some God-awful reason. How much abuse can audiences take? Lionsgate is putting that question to the test.

Regardless, Lionsgate recently released a new Saw V movie poster, and I have to admit that it’s pretty damn good. Disturbing and creepy, it features Tobin Bell’s face plastered over someone else. Clever, and damn good marketing. Here’s the movie poster:
