Side Effects is about Emily and Martin (Rooney Mara and Channing Tatum), a successful New York couple whose world unravels when a new drug prescribed by Emily’s psychiatrist (Jude Law) – intended to treat anxiety – has unexpected side effects.

I’m a sucker for depressing movie trailers, especially when you know the good guys are eventually going to prevail in the end. In the upcoming Iron Man 3, Tony Stark looks like he’s in for a sh*t show. A mysterious terrorist named The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) wages war on Stark and his alter ego Iron Man by obliterating his mansion and apparently stealing his suits, and that’s just the beginning.

Their latest unholy union is The Lone Ranger, a super-expensive and problem-laden western adventure flick that may or may not involve werewolves and other supernatural creatures.

Paramount Pictures has released a new movie trailer for Paranormal Activity 4, which has the possessed chick and her kidnapped nephew (if I remember correctly) wreaking havoc on a teenage girl who lives nearby. Plot is really immaterial as you know what you’re going to get, but I still find these movies at least a little exhilarating, even if they are predictable.

Warner Bros. has released the new movie trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first of three movies that return audiences to Middle Earth. Directed by Peter Jackson, the first Hobbit debuts December 14, 2012.
