Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law returns as his friend and colleague, Dr. Watson, in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large – Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris) – and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may give him an advantage over the renowned detective.

Blade Runner and Alien. Ridley Scott is responsible for both of them, two of the most renowned sci-fi movies of all time. After 30 years, the Gladiator director returns to the genre with Prometheus, a quasi-prequel to Alien that seeks to explain the origins of mankind, and at least hint at how those acid-spewing, face-hugging teddy bears came to be. A beautiful and suspenseful action-thriller, Prometheus isn’t perfect, but it still stands among the best of the genre.

Ridley Scott is returning to the sci-fi genre for the first time in decades with the highly anticipated movie Prometheus. You may recall that Scott is responsible for such classics as Alien and Blade Runner. In fact, Prometheus was originally intended to be a prequel to Alien, though it has evolved into something that appears to be much more epic in scope, set in the same universe but not necessarily featuring those same pesky acid-bleeding, mouth-in-mouth-in-mouth aliens.
