So this little film called Star Trek Into Darkness is now in theaters, and it features among other things a scary performance by baddie Benedict Cumberbatch, lots of entertaining action scenes and the most horrendously bad ending in the entire franchise. Whether you can forgive the movie for its final 20 soul-sucking minutes will determine whether you’ll give Star Trek a positive or negative grade.

Paramount Pictures has released the cool new movie poster for Star Trek Into Darkness, the sequel to the hit sci-fi action movie that debuts in 2013. I acknowledge that I am not the first to point this out, but it looks like the villain (Benedict Cumberbatch) has laid waste to Gotham city, not unlike what is seen in several of the Dark Knight Rises movie posters. With an obscure Star Trek logo sketched from a ravaged city, the posters look eerily similar in theme.

The Words is a movie of many stories, of a story within a story within a story, of layers, each different from the next with varying degrees of quality, at times hypnotic, other times drawn out, well acted by some, horribly by others. At least Zoe Saldana has the Avatar and Star Trek franchises. Her latest attempt to lead a film all by herself is yet another forgettable action movie, following in the vein of The Losers and Takers. Colombiana has its moments but suffers from a sluggish screenplay and uninspired directing by Olivier Megaton.

From the writers of the blockbuster hit Taken comes another revenge flick – Colombiana - this one starring the much-better-looking Zoe Saldana (Star Trek). In the movie, Saldana stars as a pissed off young woman who, after witnessing her parents’ death as a child has grown up to be a stone-cold assassin.

The action-thriller The Losers explodes onto theaters on April 23, and if the movie has one thing going for it, it’s Zoe Saldana. The gorgeous actress, hot off her career-defining 2009 (she steamed up theaters in two of the biggest movies of the year, Star Trek and Avatar), will play a deadly femme fatale/CIA agent who helps the title characters get things done. She may have sex with one or two of them, too, according to the movie trailer.
