Movie Review

Sometimes funny, sometimes flat, Tim Burton's take on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is notably darker than the Gene Wilder originally, but, while imaginative at times, it never is fully entertaining. Full movie review »

I thought that this movie was magnificent! The Oompa-Loompa songs were much better, each one has its own thing going on. I enjoyed that the movie focused on the four other children rather than Charlie, because they are much more interesting and funny. Johnny Depp is a way better Willy Wonka than the other guy, who I always thought was scary and got angry to easily. I give this an A+!

I saw this movie on my Birthday 7/17/2005! It was so awsome at first I sort of didn't want to see it but I thought it was the best movie this summer and the fantasic 4 sucked it obviously was no where near as good as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or even good at all! I give it an A+! Even though Johnny Depp is in it. I wish Orlando Bloom was in it also! Then it would be even better!

What is dark in the book? I hear people saying the movie is going to be dark like the book but I just finished the book and I did not find anything dark about it.
