Drew Barrymore has gone a long way since her role in the legendary E.T.. She is definitely no longer a little girl; in Ever After, contrary to most other Cinderella stories, she plays a strong and intellectual woman who is independent and not afraid to stand up for herself. But even confident in herself, her character also has a soft spot, which leaves her open to the ridicule of her wicked, and I mean wicked, stepmother, Angelica Huston. Full movie review »
