Movie Review
Contrary to what the summary says, Heat is not a typical action movie between the good and bad guys. There are no clear lines between right and wrong, only fuzzy ones that sway from side to side. Robert DeNiro Neil McCauley, a deadly thief who does not like the police. While he's a bad ass, he also has compassion, and this is shown through his relationship with his innocent girlfriend, Eady. Al Pacino, on the other hand, is Detective Vincent Hanna, and while he is obviously the protagonist of the story, he can be a bad ass at times. Full movie review »

August 11, 2006Along with Goodfellas this is my favourite film. It has everything I value in a movie and it's a supremely balanced work of art. The film begins well and builds and flows just perfectly and the ending captures emotions which only the finest artists have the ability to convey. Deep, dark and cool. This is one extra stylish movie.

December 3, 2003This is the greatest movie that I have had the chance to enjoy. Ok so it isnt full of all the Hollywood over-dramatization that you would expect from a film that covers such lives as those in question, but if it did then it would not do the film the justice it deserves as being an in depth and informative street smart film. To actualy experience the lives of these men was so refreshing and personaly rewarding. I would not call this a long film as the information covered was enough to give a feel for the sittuations at hand withought making you feel pushed for time. It was a perfect combination, and I would not enjoy it without its entirety. This film left me feeling somewhat insecure about humanity, as it demonstrates the fact that we all have so much we wish to accomplish, and as mortal beings, so little time to do so. What lengths will we go to in order to achieve that goal, and will we ever get there, and if we do...can we live with the past. I have never been left with so many questions, questions that I find myself asking. I guess all we each want in this life is a chance to enjoy the freedom that comes from having green, and denying that is like denying that you have a best friend. In a world that thrives on greed and insecurity it is essential that we face the fact that green is freedom.....
