Movie Review

Meg Ryan ventures away from the romantic comedy genre for a rare serious movie, only to have this career move be the worst one... well, of her career. In the Cut is easily one of the worst movies of the year, with little too offer but some nude shots of Meg Ryan and a couple of beheadings. Full movie review »

This extremely slow and boring movie plodded along for 2 hours (seemed much longer). Meg Ryan walked around like a zombie through the entire film and I couldn't help feeling embarrased for her. Even her nudity and sex scenes were painfully unappealing and UNsexy. I've never seen Mark Ruffalo before but I hope I don't see him again. A terrible actor and not the kind of guy to use as the object of anyone's sexual desires. As a Meg Ryan fan, I continued to watch it because I thought "This has got to get better". Well, it didn't. The whole movie made me ask - Why was this movie made and why was Meg Ryan in it? Surely, she didn't need the money or attention enough to do a cheesy movie like this. I understand her wanting to maybe get away from her "Good Girl" image but couldn't she find a better movie to do it with?? This movie was beyond embarrassing and pathetic and so was Meg Ryan. A soul wrenching, pitiful choice for a once bright and charming actress.

One of the worst movies this year. "In the Cut" was filmed terribly, the story was unintentionally funny and predictable, and most of the acting sucked. The only saving grace in this movie is Meg Ryan. Thumbs down on this one, folks! A solid "F."

Well BAV and I must have seen different movies. I'm just shocked anyone would actually claim that this was a good movie. In The Cut, simply put, didn't make the cut! I love going to the movies eventhough I can download them for free on the net yet this is the type of movie I would not waste my time to even download. For once I wish I'd read the reviews before submiting my self to the torture. But I'm already making sure non of my friends make the same mistake. I've told everyone to skip it...and I do mean everyone!
