Movie Review
For almost twenty years, the world has waited for a follow-up to the highly successful Star Wars trilogy. For almost twenty years, the knowledge that there would be another trilogy loomed in the minds of people, and the time span between then and now has created has created a feeling of extreme awe towards The Phantom Menace. The long-range time span and the incredibly awesome trailers have created the biggest hype for any movie, a hype too large for a movie to fulfill. But even with a sense of disappointment, The Phantom Menace is still an exciting and visually-effective film. Full movie review »

April 21, 2004Thin plot, weak acting, lame dialogue. Brilliant Science Fiction/Fantasy vision. Yep, it's a Star Wars movie alright. Analyze the first three movies: They've no different in style than Phantom Menace. Only the story and the effects are better. Once critics and older fans alike stop expecting Star Wars to suddenly morph into epic classics and begin accepting them for the way they have always been... then you will understand the true nature of the force. -C-

January 7, 2004Horrible acting (the young Luke Skywalker was the worst performance by a child I have ever seen in my life). Jar Jar Binks was tragic, all the way through the movie he got more and more annoying. There were too many special effects and not enough Darth Maul. Me and my friends actually ate mushrooms and then put this movie in so we could laugh at it. Thats how bad it was.
