none of the movie actually happened. she (the writer) was having writers block and went to her publishers house where she made it all up based on what she probably found in the house. the ending was subtle...

when i finished watching this movie i was the most confussed i have ever been in my whole life! it makes no sense. i don't get the ending. did the publisher have two daughters named julie??
every body says this is a good movie but i don't understand it HELP ME !!
