Movie Review
He's not Osama bin Laden, he's definitely not a terrorist, but this man loves destroying New York City. Roland Emmerich, the director of Independence Day and Godzilla, does it again with The Day After Tomorrow, a film about X-Treme global warming. Full movie review »

May 31, 2004Very good movie. While I agree that the wolves are not a good addition to this story, they do not entirely detract. Most special effects are great and if you pay attention, the fate of characters is explained and does not always need to be in your face obvious. While this movie is an obvious exaggeration, they qualify it well and thereby make it believable. I gave this movie a B because the story line could have been stronger, but it's definitely worth seeing because for me, the irony at then end was great and I left with a sense of appreciation for our climate, environment and earth. Any movie that can do that should be considered a must see.

May 30, 2004OK, I know the film may not be completely factual, but it was entertaining. I also think it was well done, and the characters were "worth" rooting for. I am not a Dennis Quaid fan, and won't be in the future, but he did a reasonably good job given what I think was a weak script.
Bottom line, I would recommend spending $9 on this movie, because you'll leave feeling good (and that is what American cinema and culture is all about!)

May 29, 2004This is a class A movie. It brings out the director's idea of the result of global warming very clearly. It is also a movie that shows what will our abuse to mother Earth result us in. At the same time, the movie is able to picture several cases of problems within a two hour time show-length. The graphics are of quality. The actors suit the movie. The storyboard is marvelous.
