Rush Hour Movie Review
Rush Hour is a good movie but don't dare call it a Jackie Chan movie. Gone is the constant array of high-intensity stunts and fighting humor; instead, Rush Hour delivers strong acting, high budget, and incessant comedy. There is still some of the Jackie Chan fighting but no where as much as typical Jackie Chan movies; I was disappointed in that aspect. However, unlike Jackie Chan movies, Rush Hour actually has good acting and, thank God, no dubbing. Chris Tucker was funny but Jackie Chan was hard to tell. In the beginning, he was a knowledgeable cop; as the movie progressed, they portrayed him as an amateur. Rush Hour won't appeal to more die hard Jackie Chan fans but it is a pretty funny movie. Now, we just need to get a movie with Jackie Chan and no Hollywood actors to crowd the spotlight. And stop having Jackie apologize for everything!
