The Bad News Bears Movie Review
No one plays a sleazebag better than Billy Bob Thornton. It's solid fact, and Thornton is back yet again for "Bad News Bears," this time playing a tired little league coach who gets stuck with the biggest group of misfits ever. Hell, he even has a kid in his wheelchair on his team.
"Bad News Bears," like most sports movies, is about the underdog team overachieving. A group of really bad baseball players get together, lose their first several games, and then fall into a niche to finally make it to the championship.
"The Bad News Bears" is pretty funny and has some good sports action, even though one of the outfielders is in a wheelchair (wait... didn't I already say that?).
Ultimately, "The Bad News Bears" is a fun little film, but it offers nothing new to the sports genre.
