Whipped Movie Review

Share:

Amanda Peet, who stunned audiences in The Whole Nine Yards (in more ways than one) stars along with a bunch of unheard of actors in Whipped, a movie about a group of guys who are split apart when they all fall for the same women.

Whipped, however, should have been herded into the garbage, not into theaters. This is one of the worst movies ever made... How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways...

The acting is pretty bad. None of the actors put too much effort into the movie, and it's not surprising, as they probably were aware just from what was coming out of their mouths that this movie was going to tank. That's because...

Every character in the movie is vulgar and disgusting. The three main characters all talk about how they played a woman here and there, and how they are not interested in settling down. The fourth guy is married, but he is trying to fit into the group so he talks about the things he does with his wife. And then there is Amanda's Peet's character, who basically is playing three guys at the same time; at the beginning of the movie, she saws something like, "It is normal for everyone to fuck everyone." So, to put it flatly, every character in the movie is disgusting and immoral.

It doesn't help that the script sucks. To add to these characters in terms of character, their dialogue basically consists of "Fuck, shit, dick, and asshole." As they get torn apart by Peet, they basically call each other "Dicks" over and over again for the rest of the movie. If this is supposed to be funny, I wasn't laughing.

Whipped just isn't funny. There was one part that had me cringing because it was so disgusting (which is good, I guess), and there was one other part that I laughed at, but I can't remember what that scene was. Otherwise, Whipped is just an hour and a half of swearing and pointless sex, and with no nudity. Let me repeat: No nudity. Whipped is a horrible movie and some nudity would have least raised it up to the D+ range.

Ever since The Whole Nine Yards, Amanda Peet's career has been taking a nose dive. I really can't see how she can go any lower than this piece of crap.
