Can't Hardly Wait (1998) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

The day of graduation, Preston Meyers received the news: Mike Dexter had dumped his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Beckett, the girl of Preston's dreams. Ever since he laid eyes on her four years earlier, he was in love, but before he could make a move, Mike, the handsome jock of the school, had gotten to her. And now, with high school out and Preston planning on heading off the next day, Amanda was single, and it was his time.

And where is everybody? The party, of course. And not only Preston is planning on an awesome night. Home-boy Kenny Fisher is looking for his first night with a girl and he thinks his "suave" wordings will get him laid. Mike wants his best friends to dump their girlfriends so they can all get "the free girls," but ends up going after Amanda again. Meanwhile, Amanda tries to deal with being single and facing the heavy onslaught of single guys wanting more than just to be friends. Also, Validictorian William Lichter, who has been teased throughout his high school years, is planning the ultimate revenge on Mike Dexter with his two X-File, Star Trek, and Star Wars loving friends.

It's going to be a night to remember, and they just can't hardly wait.
