Con-Air Movie Synopsis & Plot

Eight years ago, a trained military man unintentionally killed a man who had been harassing his wife. Now, that man, Cameron Poe, has been released from prison and is anxiously awaiting his little girl's eighth birthday. Out on payroll, he hitches a ride on "Jailbird," a prison airplane. Joining him on the flight are some of the nastiest convicts around, including Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, which are being transferred to a new, maximum-security prison. They have other plans.

Midway through the flight, the convicts, led by Grissom, escape, killing guards and taking over the plane. All Poe can do is watch in horror as they pull the plane off course, intent on returning to freedom. But, with a dying friend on board and a guard taken prisoner, Poe must brave the impossible and take down the criminals single-handedly before the US Marshals decide to blow the plane to smithereens.

None of that will matter when they take a very close look at the Las Vegas Strip.

MOVIE REVIEW

Con-Air features some intense action scenes but also delivers one of the stupidest stories in history. Why would Cameron Poe, a family man getting out on payroll, be placed on a plane with the worst criminals in the world. It's just stupid. And then there's John Cusack's character, who provides nothing more than comical entertainment. As long as you don't mind a dumb story, Con-Air will satisfy your entertainment needs.
