Conspiracy Theory - Movie Synopsis & Plot
He lives a life of fear and paranoia. He lives a life where he thinks everything is a conspiracy and people are watching him, waiting for him. He is right. Jerry Fletcher is a troubled man, haunted by visions of his mysterious past. He's a cabby by day, rambling on about his insane conspiracies, and a writer by night, producing his own newsletter called "Conspiracy Theory." People think him insane, even the one woman who listens to him, Alice Sutton, a Justice Department attorney. But one of his conspiracies is true... He just doesn't know which one. And what he knows, or doesn't, may kill him.
Abducted by the government psychiatrist Dr. Jonas, Jerry knows that he struck a nerve. Jonas attempts to uncover Jerry's past, through torture, but Jerry manages to escape. Once again free, he learns that the five subscribers of his newsletter have suspiciously been killed off and he is next. He calls upon Alice Sutton for assistance and she begins to think that there is more in his head than just random thoughts. Perhaps something linked to her father. The same father that was assassinated a while before. And now, not only is Jerry's life in danger, but Alice's as well.
