Doug's 1st Movie (1999) - Movie Synopsis & Plot
"Doug's 1st Movie" follows the adventures and misadventures of Doug Funnie, an imaginative and quirky 12-1/2-year-old, who finds himself caught between saving the endangered "monster" of polluted Lucky Duck Lake and his burning desire to take Patti Mayonnaise (CONNIE SHULMAN) -- his secret crush-to the school dance.
When Doug and his best pal, Skeeter (FRED NEWMAN), discover that the mythical "monster" is real, they also stumble across an elaborate cover-up by one of Bluffington's leading citizens, industry-Czar Bill Bluff. Adding to Doug's anxiety is Guy Graham, a slick upperclassman, who wants Patti for himself.
Catapulted by the enormous success of the award-winning Saturday morning animated television series, "Disney's Doug," on ABC, comes Walt Disney Pictures' full-length animated feature, "Doug's 1st Movie." Following the emotional ups and downs of the typical adolescent Doug Funnie and his friends as they struggle through the challenges of growing up, the film fulfills the expectations of countless, loyal 'Doug Fans' who have long awaited resolutions to two of the series' unanswered sub-plots.
