Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998) - Movie Synopsis & Plot
Lately, there has been talk of the nearby Prince's marriage. Prince Henry wants to marry only out of love, but his father, the King of France, wants Henry to marry the daughter of the King of Spain. Rodmilla, Danielle's step mother, has other ideas. She wants Henry to marry her lustrous daughter, Marguerite.
Meanwhile, a relationship grew between Danielle and the Prince, following an incident where Danielle threw a bucket of apples at the Prince after she thought he was stealing her horse. And then, the situation got worse. Posing as a lady, she snuck into the court and negotiated the freedom of one of her servant friends. There, she met the Prince formally, under a false name, and the Prince immediately became infatuated with her.
While Danielle leads a double life, appeasing her step mother and carrying on a relationship with the Prince of France, she must decide whether to risk everything and follow her dreams, or be safe and return to the home of her stepfamily.
