First Knight (1995) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

He started out as a wanderer, a man with no loyalty to any king, no quest for honor; only a lust for money. He would later become Sir Lancelot, the greatest of the Knights of the Round Table.

It all started out one day when Lady Guinevere, betrothed to the King, Arthur, was attacked by soldiers of ex-Round Table Knight, Malagant. Lancelot comes to her rescue and is immediately taken in by Guinevere's beauty but she refuses to give him the satisfaction he required. They meet again when he nonchalantly makes it through The Gauntlet, a seemingly-impossible obstacle course set up for amusement by the King. Impressed by his bravery, Arthur himself invites Lancelot into the Round Table. Lancelot agrees but only to be closer to the Queen. His loyalties are put to the test as the evil Malagant attempts to take over Camelot anyway possible, including taking Guinevere hostage.
