I Know What You Did Last Summer - Movie Synopsis & Plot
The night was dark, the only sound that of waves chopping against the jagged rocks below. The car weaves in and out of sharp curves, going excessively fast an doubtlessly careless. A boy hangs out the sunroof, drunk and screaming, distracting the driver and his friends. They fail to notice the man around the next bend, wandering aimlessly in the night, until it's too late. The car strikes the figure, ripping him of all identity, and for the four teenagers, Julie, Helen, Ray, and Barry, their glorious night has just turned disastrous.
Face ripped to shreds, they have no idea who he is. What they do know is what awaits them: manslaughter charges, reckless driving, and possible jail-time. Unable to accept punishment for something that wasn't their fault, they make a pact, an agreement, to never speak of the incident again. And so, in the heat of the night, they throw him into the ocean, hoping he will never resurface. But, as the body sinks to the bottom, it's hand twitches; he was alive when the pushed him in. They are murderers.
One year later, that night haunts Julie James, the most hesitant of the group, the most. Her past year has been a nightmare, filled with lack of sleep, food, and the ability to shrug off what she did. But a new nightmare is about to begin for her, something that will threaten her friends, family, and everyone else in town. Secretly, and unknowingly to the rest of the town, people are dying. Because someone knows what she did last summer.
