Kingpin Movie Synopsis & Plot
Woody Harrelson (White Men Can't Jump) and Randy Quaid (Bye Bye Love) team up in this hilarious comedy from the filmmakers behind the comedy hit Dumb & Dumber.
Harrelson stars as a former bowling champion who, thanks to double-crossing bowling huckster Ernie McCracken (Bill Murray), finds himself reduced to a sleazy, small-time hustler. When he discovers a new protege (Randy Quaid) among the Amish of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the former champ thinks he has found his ticket back to the fast lane. A riotously funny road trip ensues as this hysterically mismatched duo sets out to con their way to a bowling tournament in Reno, Nevada.
Woody Harrelson plays Roy Munson, a one-time bowling prodigy, whose luck has turned so bad that, in his home town, the name Munson is synonymous with failure.
Randy Quaid plays Ishmael, an innocent Amish farmer, who for years has kept a secret from his brethren. Late at night, he sneaks into town ... and bowls.
Vanessa Angel portrays Claudia, a tough-as-nails beauty who hooks up with the bowling buddies on the road, and gives them a ride they'll never forget.
Bill Murray plays Ernie McCracken, a wise-craking con man whose fateful meeting with Roy Munson changes Munson's life forever.
