Lethal Weapon 2 Movie Synopsis & Plot

Sergeant Riggs and Murtaugh have returned, this time opposing a powerful drug syndicate. Murtaugh, in charge of the case, after impounding a large shipment of gold coins, learns that the drug dealers have taken things a little to personally. In the middle of the night, they threaten him, saying next time he will die. They weren't kidding.

Meanwhile, they are put in charge of protecting witness Leo Getz who is planned to testify before a court later on. It just so happens that he has connections to the same drug dealer the police are looking for. And it just so happens that the man is a diplomat for the nation of South Africa and is protected by political immunity. Of course, that means nothing to Riggs and Murtaugh. The drug dealers have tried to kill Murtaugh plenty of times and he is just fed up with it; but for Riggs, things are even more personal. Not only did they kill his new girlfriend but they had something to do with the death of somebody closer, much closer.

MOVIE REVIEW

Lethal Weapon 2 was the last Lethal Weapon movie I saw and I must say I extremely enjoyed it. It's right up there with Lethal Weapon 4 in terms of comedy, action, and suspense. From beginning to the end their is destruction, gunfights, and car chases, filled with comical interludes between Gibson, Glover, and Pesci. No more is there any reflections on Gibson's past losses; he's not a homicidal maniac like he was in the first one. Glover is great and so is Pesci, though he is somewhat annoying. Lethal Weapon 2 is an awesome movie; an action fan should see it.
