Scream 2 (1997) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

The Woodsborough Murders by Gale Weathers is the hottest book around and it's just been made into a movie called Stab. No one seems to realize that the slasher movie is based on true facts. No one seems to care. And no one even notices when a real-life killer murders a girl at the grand opening, in front of everyone.

Sidney Prescot is in college now, her life beginning to straighten out. She has a boyfriend, she has friends, and she has a life. But when Sidney hears of the killings in the movie theater, she is forced to face her fears again. Perhaps it's like what everyone says: a coincidence. Or perhaps it's not.

Gale Weathers, Dewey, and Randy join up to help Sidney through the horrifying mess but their allegiance to one another may well be their downfall. Apart, some might survive. But together, none may survive. Still, there's always that one moment when you realize what's going on: Someone is trying to finish what Billy started.
