Snake Eyes (1998) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

Atlantic City. As a hurricane gains power off the coast, one of the biggest boxing fights is taking place inside the Millenium Arena. Rick Santoro, a corrupt police detective, is there to enjoy the show along with best friend Navy Commander Kevin Dunne, who is in charge of protecting Senator Kirkland, a federal official who is also there to watch the fight. But things unravel in front of Santoro's eyes as Dunne is pulled away by a suspicious looking red-head, Lincoln Tyler, the famed heavyweight champion, falls to a phantom punch, and two gunshots explode over the crowd. Senator Kirkland falls back, a bullet in his neck, and a woman with a blonde wig runs from the scene, a bullet in her arm, carrying a secret manilla envelope...

Dunne kills the assassin, but after Kirkland is shot, and Santoro knows that something is wrong. While urging Dunne to claim his innocence over his inept decision to lead the Senator's side, Santoro begins an investigation of his own. His first clues come from Lincoln Tyler himself, who claims a red-head bribed him to take a fall... There was a man with a radio that gave him the sign... and someone else exists on the other side of that radio... There's something larger than just a political assassination taking place inside Millenium Arena: A deadly conspiracy.
