Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

Two Klingon Bird of Preys are vaporized. A Federation space station is destroyed. All they pick up before the cameras go blank is a gigantic, supernatural force of immense energy. And all they can determine is it's destination: Earth.

Captain Kirk, Spock, Bones, and the rest are reassigned to their newly redone starship, the Enterprise. The most advanced ship in the fleet, the Enterprise has been selected to figure out the phenomenons' motive and, if needed, destroy it.
