Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) - Movie Synopsis & Plot
The Empire has created a new, improved Death Star, much more powerful than the first one. Once it is completed, the Empire will be virtually unstoppable, so the Rebellion has planned an assault on it before it is finished.
Unfortunately, this Death Star is protected by a force field generated from Endor, the moon that the giant space station is orbiting. Han, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, and the rest are assigned to destroy the force field before the rest of the Rebel fleet arrives.
However, Luke's presence has alerted Darth Vader and the emperor himself to the Rebellion's plot of annihilating the Death Star. While battling an army of Imperial troops on Endor, Han and the rest realize that the Rebellion is walking into a trap; a space station that is full operational and shielded, with the entire Imperial fleet waiting for them.
