The English Patient (1996) - Movie Synopsis & Plot
The English Patient is a compelling story of a man, his face burned away, bedridden in an Italian villa. His memories return slowly, taking him back to World War 2, where he was a cartographer in Egypt. His affair with a married woman, ending in tragedy, is played out, through the high points, the low points, and anything in-between.

February 24, 2004This movie has made such an emotinal impact on me.I liked the war part, but the love encounters where something else. The actors were suprisingly so charismatic. There is a scene in the tub,no special hairstyles,an old piece of a bathrobe, and a taste of forbidden love.It gives you an incredible amount of reality, and there are not many movies of these days like that.I can't belive some other peoples reviews. The movie has all the elements of a "true passion soul-mates".
