The Jackal (1997) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

A ruthless assassin has been hired to kill someone high in the government. He masks himself through a number of guises and fake IDs. He kills without regret or remorse. And he's always one step ahead of the game. No one knows who is he. No one knows if he even exists. He is the Jackal.

The FBI Deputy Director has been tracking the source of the assassin's payment for years and is now faced with the biggest challenge of his career. He turns to an IRA agent that has been in prison for the last few years; he is the only man that has seen the Jackal's face. Offered an appeasement of his sentence, the prisoner agrees to track the Jackal down, no matter what the cost. But is he doing it for freedom, or for vengeance?
