Sherman Klump is a 400 pound professor who's had to deal with a disproportionate body, a dysfunctional family, and a terrible love life. Then he finds the solution: Amidst exercise, diet, and everything else, through his chemistry knowledge, Klump creates a serum that can make him thin. It does more than that. Now slender, he is also handsome, irresistible, and instead of being the blunt of every joke, he makes the joke. He is a totally different man. He is Buddy Love. Unfortunately, his experiment isn't all it's cracked up to be: Buddy Love is unstable and can shift at anytime; Klump realizes he'd prefer being himself.
