The X-Files (1998) - Movie Synopsis & Plot

A bomb in a Dallas office building explodes, claiming five victims. One was the FBI director assigned to detonate the bomb, though in his last minutes on Earth, he did nothing to stop it. The others were apparent innocents, a little boy and three firemen. But further examinations show the truth; they did not die from fire. They were already long dead, their flesh turned to jelly by an unknown virus. Perhaps extra terrestrial.

Then there's the mysterious doctor in the alleyway that tells story of a secret government, an alien species that lived on the Earth long before the dinosaurs, and a virus that is their basic structure of life, a virus that has the potential to wipe out the entire human race. Agents Mulder and Scully of the FBI are about to take on the case.
