An escapist movie in the style of Indiana Jones. Matthew McConaghey (spelling?) was an
impressive leading actor. The action film scenes were impressive in any dimension. Overall,
an awesome production with a major fun factor.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It was fun, fun and fun. Two hours of non-stop
action .... highly enjoyable.

Sure, this movie is not a reality item. It’s a piece of pure fantasy. Not to be taken seriously by
the paying customer. But, hell, it is Fun. And well worth the PPV charges.

Fab escapist movie - just needed bit more history in it to capture the imagination more......

The Hunton Gazelle is a crackin boat, that is a great british sports boat - 50 knots of pure but refined power .....

however, did you know the Civil War battleship in the moview was powered through the lake by 10 Honda outboards!

The boat used in the movie is Hunton Gazelle 43 with some cosmetic modifications.

Tom Cruise's normal appearance was also nothing like the author's depiction to her character of Lestat in Interview with a Vampire, but she soon changed her opinion of him playing Lestat upon seeing him after changing his hair and losing 20 pounds just for the role.

I haven't read the books, but why NOT Matthew McConaughey as an action hero? Why Penelope Cruz?I think she's replacible. Should be worth a look though.

Can't wait...but curious, by Uncle Al

Personally, I can't wait for this movie. But one thing kind of worries me. I remember reading an interview with Clive Cussler, the author of the Dirk Pitt novels where he said that he would not let any of his books be made into movies after "Raise the Titanic" turned out to be a giant pile of crap until he found a production team that was in sync with his views about how the characters should be portrayed. Now I have nothing against Matt McConaughey, but last time I checked, he does not really physically look how Cussler describes his character.
