June 30, 2006This was an awesome movie. When I first heard about it, I wasn't sure how well it would do. I loved it. Routh is no Christpoher Reeve, who I still picture as Superman, but he still did a great job.

June 29, 2006Before I comment on this movie, I would like to address what Chris said about Superman. Superman has the same weakness that most super heroes have. A love interest. If he didn't care specifically about Lois Lane then yeah he would be invincible. And also the little glowing green rock? Yeah, that kills him. But since none of this is real and just movies and comic books, they are allowed to be over the top. Cheesy lines are almost expected. So, I don't think Brandon Routh will be up for any oscars for this role. The movie is supposed to get you to believe a man can fly and lift land mass equal to a small state if only for two and a half hours. It's summer fun. So stop nit picking and enjoy superman. Now about the movie. The only gripe about it is that we didn't get to see superman fight anybody. Other than that it was a great summer popcorn movie!!! Yay!!

June 27, 2006Say what you will about revisiting the Superman franchise, casting Kevin Spacey as the villian is masterful. Even if the rest of the show is deplorable, which I don't know yet because it's not released until tonight, I'll go see it just to see what Spacey does with the role. Consider the possibilities.

June 22, 2006I don't understand why people like superman so much. From the T.V. shows i saw to the boring comic books, i just don't get it. He's too perfect. And the movie is so out of touch with reality. First of all, i like movies where I can relate to the characters in some way. But this guy has no flaws. Hes perfect and indestructable without even a slightly believible reason to why. Oh wait...nevermind....he does have a weakness. What was it...? This awesome superhero's only flaw....? o yea now i remember...a rock. a glowing rock. And another thing...his identity. For those who know Clark Kent, How in the world can you not recognize him when he's superman. ...hes not wearing a mask... w/e. I just never understood this legendary character. From the fact that hes from another planet , to the ridiculously predictable plot, not to mention the cheezy lines, this movie is too over the top for me.

May 10, 2005This hack job of a movie is just going to suck ass. I swear to god this is going to be the most pathetic attempt to make a buck off of a popular franchise since House of the Dead( the worst movie ever made). Wrong actors, wrong costume, and the story just sucks balls. I agree with the TV idea, tom welling is Clark Kent and the only person other than Christopher Reeve that should ever carry the title of superman.

To make this movie without Tom Welling is sickening. The only thing you are allowed to change are the effects. If you start messing with the characters and their personalities you will screw it up. You should just take the T.V. show and use everybody off that to make the movie.

He represents the good and just the world lacks. If they DECIMATE our man of steel into some kind of bad soap opera.... my hope for society today will plumet.

I have read that the NEW STORY will make Jimmy Olsen GAY, that Supermans woman will cheat on him and that Superman is more NEUTRAL, and not GOOD. This is a slap in the face to CHRISTOPHER REEVES...

December 16, 2003this better not be SMALLVILLE! With today's special effects and great directors, im hoping this can be DC's breakthrough movie. Marvel's already got a good grip on the world, starting Superman up again just might be the answer to DC's prayers. If only Batman could start again too.....if only CHRISTOPHER REEVES could be in this....lol
