July 30, 2007Agree with Pam. It was no story there, no magic. It was like a bunch of left over put together. Old characters without story lines. Harry did not have any chemistry with his two best friends. Waste of time and money.

July 21, 2007I saw it Sunday night, and I was rather disappointed. I think, like the 1st film, they relied too much on a book-read audience. Sure, they didn't have to explain everything, but things like Kreacher and the Order could have fleshed out better. Also, Percy's break with the family was rather important, but totally ignored. So was Harry's interview with Rita Skeever, and the mourning of Sirius (hello! Harry's last relation is dead, and there's *barely* a reference)
The fight scenes at the end are a fiasco-too much reliance on GGI and less on the emotional connection.
As for Jack- what did you expect when you have an established plotline that involves a Hitler-esque figure determined on ruling the wizarding world? The point was that people can be so desparate to be blind to the elephant and cling to the status quo that they'll endanger the general public, and that media can be a useful weapon for either side.

July 15, 2007I totally agree with the review.
I sat there the whole time thinking, "This is JUST a movie," instead of being in awe of it the way I was with the others. And that music while the credits were playing???? Uh - was it just left over from some other movie he didn't finish? It was very jarring to hear such cheerful music that didn't remotely fit in with the story or the rest of the HP music.

July 11, 2007I can't believe the poor caliber of this reviewer! "Up till 3AM"? - poor baby!
You read the original book "several years ago", and "can't remember" the contents? - How about rereading it - or else not bringing it up at all!
Especially ironic, when you criticize the new director's lackluster style. Hey Pot, meet Kettle.
Are you actually getting PAID for this gig? - INCREDIBLE!!
