I thought that this movie was magnificent! The Oompa-Loompa songs were much better, each one has its own thing going on. I enjoyed that the movie focused on the four other children rather than Charlie, because they are much more interesting and funny. Johnny Depp is a way better Willy Wonka than the other guy, who I always thought was scary and got angry to easily. I give this an A+!

I saw this movie on my Birthday 7/17/2005! It was so awsome at first I sort of didn't want to see it but I thought it was the best movie this summer and the fantasic 4 sucked it obviously was no where near as good as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or even good at all! I give it an A+! Even though Johnny Depp is in it. I wish Orlando Bloom was in it also! Then it would be even better!

I just saw it today. I thought it was gonna be horrible. But i thought it was really good!! I found it quite amusing and Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore were really good in it! I am goning to see it again!

if there is one actor who portray the true darkness of the book it would be Depp.there is no dout a need to remake this classic, just because of all of the psychadelic references, when i saw it for the first time as a child there was really no explanation in my mind why half the stuff was actually in the movie inthe first place. Everyone here needs to get a damned grip on reality. Tim Burton is perfect for this movie because the Gene Wilder one was CRAP. CRAP. It was nothing like the book. The book was dark, disturbing and WONDERFUL. It was not some happy sing a long with Gene Wilder dancing and prancing about. This is a remake that I stand behind whole heartedly, mainly because it seems as though it's finally giving the book its proper respect. If you're a true fan of Roald Dahl you'll know what I mean, and if you haven't read the book, do so.
