Political correctness goes right out the window in Team America: World Police and who better to do such a thing than Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of "South Park." To no real surprise, Team America is one of the funniest and smartest films of 2004.

A review really isn't needed to tell you whether you'll like this movie or not. If you subscribe to the brand of humor that Parker and Stone employ in their popular Comedy Channel cartoon - crude jokes with a very liberal slant - then you will definitely love Team America, which takes a stab at the United States' current brand of diplomacy. Our American heroes - a bunch of marionettes - fight terrorists and Kim Jong Il of North Korea, but in the process destroy half of the world as well as a bunch of liberal actors of the Film Actors Guild (F.A.G.). Every ounce of Team America is funny, and the jokes range from simple and innocent elements such as the way the characters move (they are attached to strings, after all) to more disturbing scenes that involve two of the heroes in various sexual positions. In fact, the nudity and actions of these little toys resulted in the necessity of ten edits just to cut the movie's rating down from an NC-17. Apparently, marionette sex is too disturbing for the MPAA.

From a technical viewpoint, Team America is also very impressive. Compared to the basic "animation" involved in "South Park," Team America is very detailed in every way and form. The marionette characters are very well done, as are the sets.

It is a movie not for the faint of heart or the conservative of mind, but Team America: World Police is an absolute laugh-fest for everyone else with an R-rated mind.

I watched this a month ago with my best mate Tasha, and we nearly died of laughter!
Everything, from the fact that they are puppets, to the way the 'Bad guy' talked, to the way the walked, to the speech, uh, it is great!
The best parts are 'The Signal', 'Kim's Accent', 'The Drunk', 'The Relationships', 'Chris's Fear of Actors' and 'The Speech'!!!
CLASS!
I give it a grade of A+!
