The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001) - Movie Review
The chemistry between Helen Hunt and Woody Allen is not great, meaning that I cannot in a million years see them together, but their constant onslaught of insults towards each other reminded me a lot of Jack Nicholson in another Helen Hunt movie, As Good As it Gets. Allen must have sat down for a long time to think of all of the things they say, because they have some pretty "complicated" remarks.
No movie can be completely dialogue driven, though, and thankfully The Curse of the Jade Scorpion has a refreshingly entertaining yet light story. It's pretty funny in concept and works well, too, never going overboard into slapstick, but not quite treading in reality either.
The Curse of the Jade Scorpion is a fun movie with actors that seem to be having a fun time, and it's something that anyone can enjoy.
