Roommate wanted... for a limited time only.
The first year of college can be tough, Especially when you're on your own for the first time and having too much fun, as two students discover in "Dead Man on Campus". With the threat of failure, the freshmen have to resort to desperate measures to bring up their grades. Their salvation comes in the form of an arcane loophole buried in the college charter which might even let this pair slip through with straight A's. Tom Everett Scott, who starred in the Tom Hanks film "That Thing You Do," portrays Josh, an earnest Indiana honor student who is sent to the prestigious Daleman College on a scholarship. Once within the school's Ivy-covered walls, however, Josh discovers the path to excess and strays from his academic mores. As his failing grades begin to pour in, he will do anything to regain his excellent scholastic reputation. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, best known for his portrayal of Zack Morris in the hit television series "Saved By the Bell," plays Cooper, a wealthy, blue-blooded freshman with a penchant for "the good life." Initially Josh's mismatched roommate, Cooper ultimately becomes his cohort in crime. With the end of the semester quickly approaching, the pair of freshmen realize that this outlandish loophole - the "dead man's clause" - may be their only hope of passing. |
