December 5, 2008Because I love India and have traveled extensively there I had to see this movie. And for the same reasons that I love Inda I was able to really enjoy Slumdog. Both are fantasy which really borders closely on real life . The fantasy borders not just on the realm of wonderful dreams coming to fruition but also on the worst of nightmares being real.
India is not like the world we know here in the West. The culture, the landscape, the attire, the transportation, the housing, the architecture, the people , the conversations, the media, and the food differ drastically . Therefore we can be astounded again and again be all that we experience here. Slumdog portrays this very well. It is both interesting , exciting, stimulating and informational. And a lot of fun also!
