January 2, 2009This is a highly enjoyable and entertaining movie. One can only laugh at Clint Eastwood playing himself for what may be his last time on the big screen. The family next door were also very good particularly the sister. Movies about very tough guys who reveal their underlying hearts of gold are usually endearing. This one is also full of laughs and light hearted moments. However GranTorino is not a comedy but the tragic elements arrive only after many many smiles. PhyllisHartt
