I watched this movie last night. Awesome shots. I think the two characters are the same person (Gerry). This is a metaphorical movie. In the end, Gerry kills part of himself. It's a universal metaphor of life, trying out new things, getting lost, fear of death, boredom... I wish there were a better way to convey it to the general public. This is not the way, as most people would not like it and not understand it at all...

Okay, everything you have read before my review is right on the money, oh, except for that guy that said he loved the movie, surely he must be joking. This is bad, amazingly bad, it is now on the top of my list of the world's worst movies ever made, it is way way above the new movie Good Fences, and I thought that was the pits. What were the people thinking, everyone involved with the making of this "film", could you imagine have this film on your resume? Talk about being laughed out of the film business. If I had been involved with the production of this film, I would have stopped at nothing to make sure that all available prints were destroyed, burned, buried, and hidden forever from all eyes. Yes, it is that bad. I myself, with little to no experience with film making, could have been given a hand held camera, 10 rolls of Kodak film, and one weekend to make a blockbuster compared to that movie. And these are the good comments I can make about Gerry. Stay home, save your money, read a book, take a nap, but do not, under any circumstances, throw two hours of your life away on this horrific movie. I rather eat worms.

This is the worst piece of crap I've ever seen. I suggest anyone wanting to watch this movie have a phone handy so they can call 911. Hoperully the EM Techs can use the paddles to bring you back to life when you die from boredom.

This movie has got to be the worst movie we have ever seen. Sometimes you get a movie out and it is slow to start, however it generally picks up within the first 10-15 minutes. This movie was slow to start with but also slow to stop. My partner and I ended up fast forwarding through until we saw one the actors move their lips, even then they didn't say more than 2-3 words or worse lick their dry lips ! How this movie managed to make it's way over to the U.K. I just don't know, all I do know is that we wished it had got lost en route, desert, island, sea anywhere but here ! I can't even bring myself to comment about the ending of this movie, all I do is beg that they don't bring out Gerry 2.......

this is one of the best movies i have seen i a while, and to the person that said that no one could watch it twice, i have watched it 3-4 times and ejoyed it every time. I have hiked and backpacked threw all of the area in the movie and the interaction between the actors is briliant. this is defenitly a great move, in the age of flashy mtv movies this returns to the basics... great

This is perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen. It is a weak attempt at some meaning of existentialism. I wish the video store I rented this from could get their money back from the distributor, so the video store, in turn, could refund my money. I kid you not.

Many people can watch the same movie (or at least sit through it) a second time (I don't mean back to back). For those that say they liked this movie, can you honestly say you would ever want to see it again a second time? I don't think so.

I don't even know where to begin when attempting to describe this movie. This was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life, I only wish I could have the two hours, I wasted watching this, back. The climax of the movie was...oh wait...there was no climax!!! This movie was so borring, I can't believe I didn't fall asleep. The only thing that kept me from falling asleep was anticipating prehaps an sudden twist in the ending. I was wrong. The ending was just as bad as the rest of the movie, once again with zero dialogue. There are not enough words to describe how horrible this movie was. This movie is a blow to Matt Damon's career as an actor, and most definetly a writer, as there was no drama, no comedy, no romance, no horror, no suspence, and definetly no action. I had to check my dvd player several times to ensure that it hadn't accidently paused. It hadn't. The movie was just that slow. Please, do not watch this movie, as by the end you will only feel regret. Casey: it's over, this movie has destroyed any chance you may have had of becoming an actor. By the end of the movie, you will have learned nothing. I'd rather die starving in the desert than watch the movie "Gerry" again.
