A Life Less Ordinary (1997) - Movie Review

A Life Less Ordinary is one of the weirdest comedies I have seen in a while. It is strangely amusing, yet disturbingly stupid. Ewan McGregor is really a stupid loser, and Cameron Diaz is one vengeful, but sexy, woman. Not only was their romance unlikely, but the movie was as well. I was refreshed to see that I was wrong.

A Life Less Ordinary is amusing and comical. Ewan is clumsy, but funny clumsy. Cameron Diaz is his perfect opposite, smart, intelligent, and sexy.

The only downside was the story. A Life Less Ordinary was meant to be weird, but by the end it had gotten a little too weird. Holly Hunter and Delroy Lindo are the two angels sent to unite Diaz and McGregor, and from the first second they appear, it is hard to understand. They almost kill McGregor a few times throughout the movie, and Hunter smokes and caresses her body. They try bashing in the heads of the two soon-to-be lovers, which is beyond me. They are angels, aren't they?

Still, A Life Less Ordinary's weird style was enjoyable and refreshing, and combined with McGregor's outgoing acting and Diaz's sexiness, it is worth the time.

This movie is lonely because people have neglected it and not written kind things about it. Please help this movie feel better about itself and write a comment or review now.
