Playing God (1997) - Synopsis |

|
Stripped of his medical license after performing an operation while high on amphetamines, Los Angeles surgeon Dr. Eugene Sands (DAVID DUCHOVNY) abandons his career, and finds himself crossing paths with a ruthless criminal, Raymond Blossom (TIMOTHY HUTTON). Raymond hires Eugene as his "gunshot doctor," to treat associates who cannot risk visiting a hospital. Lured deeper and deeper into the dangerous underworld and growing too close to Raymond's seductive girlfriend Claire (ANGELINA JOLIE), Eugene is faced with his most challenging decision - to continue a life on the run or face his demons and regain control of his destiny.
A cutting-edge crime thriller, Touchstone Pictures' "Playing God" brings to full boil a potent battle of good and evil, life and death, passion and deception in a world where nothing is as it seems and no one can escape without paying the highest price imaginable. |
