Movie Review
While her brother Jake is building quite an impressive career for himself, Maggie Gyllenhaal is stepping quietly through the back door, choosing a similar path of stranger, darker films. In Secretary, she stars as a young, recently-released mental patient who becomes involved in a sadomasochism relationship with her commanding boss (James Spader). Full movie review »

July 1, 2005The movie reviewer is crazy. This movie is excellent. The characters were very real and the script was awesome. I felt it was a love story of the highest level. It was about two people who found acceptance in eachother. It made me laugh and cry. I would reccomend this movie.

April 28, 2004I'm sorry for the movie reviewer for this site. i dont think you paid attention to the movie at all. maybe you were watching 2 movies and try to do 2 reviews at the same time. b/c this movie is something ...that's everyone should see
i've never seen a movie like this before. i cried when Lee refused to take her hands and feets off the Mr Gray's office. that's was very touching i watched the movie over and over again. though, i dont have any sexual behavior that is related to that, but i do understand both their feelings. i just hope they make the second one! ok, i have to go watch it again

January 12, 2004I just saw this movie without knowing much about it. I found it extremely original and the performances were outstanding. Great script and great scenes. Not a single part of the movie is wasted. I am trying to think of an example of a similar movie but I can't.

January 5, 2004I found this movie to be a wonderfull romance. Every thing about this movie was good. I'm not saying it is a block buster, all time classic, but it is a very good movie. The two main stars in this film perform perfectly. The director, I must say has done a very good job. Words to explain what I want to say about this movie are not in my vocabulary. Weird and offbeat as this movie is, I must say it is a wonderfull love story. Skip White
